2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, mobile number, email address, profile photo URL, login method, authentication tokens and onboarding status.
• Farm profile: state, district, city, village name, land size, crop preferences, selected crops, sowing dates, crop activity status and reminder progress.
• Location information: state/district selections and, when you choose "My location" or allow device location, latitude and longitude for weather and local recommendations.
• Advisory content: questions, messages, crop photos or attachments you upload for farmer advisor support.
• Notification data: Firebase Cloud Messaging token, platform, notification preferences, delivery/read status and alert history.
• Technical data: app requests, IP address, device/browser information, diagnostics, logs, security events and crash or performance data where available.

3. How We Use Information

• Create and manage your Kisan Setu - AI Farming App account.
• Provide local weather, mandi bhav, crop guidance, crop reminders, government scheme information and farmer advisor support.
• Send OTPs, service messages, weather alerts, crop activity reminders and important account notifications.
• Improve app safety, reliability, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and customer support.
• Maintain legal, security and operational records required to run the service.

4. Location Data

Location is used to show relevant weather, mandi information, local crop guidance and regional services. You may provide location by selecting your state/district or by granting device location permission. Device location is used only when you choose a feature that needs it or grant permission through your device settings.

You can disable location permission from Android settings. Some local features may then rely on your saved district or may not work accurately.

5. Photos and Uploaded Files

If you upload crop photos or files for advisor support, we use them to understand your query, respond to you and maintain conversation history. Do not upload sensitive personal documents unless requested for a specific support purpose.

6. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the app, such as OTP delivery, Google Sign-In, Google/Firebase notification services, hosting, storage, analytics, weather data and mandi/government data sources. These providers process data only for service delivery, security, compliance and support.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, prevent abuse, investigate security issues or respond to valid legal requests.

7. Notifications

Kisan Setu - AI Farming App may send push notifications for weather alerts, crop reminders, account updates and farming information. You can manage notification permissions in Android settings and app preferences where available.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, authentication tokens, server-side validation, protected storage practices and monitoring. We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, maintain security, comply with law and improve app reliability. Uploaded advisor content and crop records may remain until deleted, archived or no longer required for the service.

• Update profile and farm details in the app where available.
• Turn off device permissions such as location or notifications from Android settings.

• Logout to clear the active app session token from your account.

For deletion requests, include your registered mobile number or email address. We may verify ownership before deleting data. Some limited records may be retained where required for legal, fraud prevention, security or accounting purposes.

11. Children

Kisan Setu - AI Farming App is intended for farmers and general agricultural users. It is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.

12. International Processing

Your information may be processed on servers and by service providers located in India or other countries where our providers operate. We take steps to ensure data is handled according to this policy and applicable law.
